Our group started in 2002, when community members came together to plan the first-ever Pride celebration in south central Minnesota. Since then our group, mandate, outreach — and of course, our PrideFests — have grown substantially. In 2006, South Central MN Pride was made official and incorporated as a nonprofit organization. While the annual festival remains our highest priority, we now coordinate community events that promote LGBTQIA+ pride year-round.
